In replacement of the current Internal Communication & Culture officer, Volvo IT in France is looking for an experienced communicator to drive its Internal Communication function.
Communication promotes understanding and alignment to Volvo and Volvo IT strategies and desired culture and supports managers in their communicative leadership.
This position is reporting to the Director Communication & Culture and is part of a global team of 10+ Communication officers. The person wi ll be part of the location host management team and take responsibility for communication in France (over 500 employees). One third of the assignment will be dedicated to global Volvo IT communication and culture.
- Main activities and responsibilities
Design, deploy, measure and report on an internal communication plan aligned with Volvo IT global communication plan and local needs.
This plan includes mainly :
Event management – full project management from concept and design to implementation with working group and facilitation / presentation. Events range from F2F team meetings to regular conferences and large teambuilding events for all staff.
Change management, to support important organizational evolutions, culture transformation and IT projects.
Online communication – intranet, e newsletter, blog. This involves taking charge of the editorial line, collecting and writing content, managing the channels.
Production of communication kits – ppt, videos, signage board etc
Support managers in punctual communication actions and in developing their communicative leadership (group training, individual coaching, leadership seminars…)
Contribute to France culture network as an active culture ambassador, facilitating workshops and working groups.
Represent the function within the host management team
Manage a communication trainee
Take responsibility for a global assignment according to staffing within the global team.
Critical competencies for the position:
- University / business school degree
3-5 years of experience in communications
Experience in the field of corporate culture
Excellent writing and verbal skills in French and English
Maturity to work with managers and leaders
Experience in communications coaching and consulting
Experience from a multi-cultural business environment in large companies
Experience in working in global networks / teams
Capacity in creating working groups
Presentation and facilitation skills
