It's an okay work experience not the greatest, but you can move up with the company benefits are great and they have a great staff to help you grown with the company

Difficult work. A lot of screaming. Tons of favoritism. Nasty , nasty customers. They care about their cash more than your safety. Overall not a terrible place to work. Lots of pressure.

Management is awful, turn around with employees is so high because they mistreated all employees. You had to cover other stores over 1hr away because employees would quit so often. They never paid you well enough to afford to travel as much as you had to.

You work alone a lot of the time and it’s a very slow paced job but it can get hectic on paydays for customers as they will line up to get their paychecks cashed

Decent pay. No room for growth. Favoritism at its high. No breaks, 13 hours shifts. Could be a good job for someone with no life and likes to travel store to store.

Sometimes you feel as though management doesn't have your back and knowing there are no cameras inside the store can be very scary at times especially when you've had some one try to rob you

Working for ACE, you will work at some of the most threatening/dangerous locations. You will work 12hrs by yourself most days without a break. The upper management doesn’t care about your safety or the employees in general, as long as you’re at work. The pay is average, but definitely NOT worth what you have to go through: potentially robbed, long hours, the extensive job duties, bad management, rude/ghetto customers, etc. This is one of the WORST jobs I’ve worked for especially when it comes to safety. This job doesn’t have a high turnover rate for no reason. I wouldn’t recommend it!

The job is easy but stressful due to the goals they set for you. The turnover is high but if you can sell this job is for you. Overtime can be alot due to the turnover. You are mostly by yourself. You might see the district manager once a month due to the large number of stores he has.

My experience working at ACE Cash Express is horrible. It paid the bills but if you have the opportunity to leave, LEAVE!!

Working with this company was great at first. Was a great high paying job at 18 years old straight out of Bootcamp and it gave me a lot of downtime to get any classes done that i had. After about 2 months of working for ACE though i started noticing that i would dread waking up in the morning to go to work. The motivation just simply was not there. The customers are very rude and ghetto, some of the store managers were not very helpful and made you feel like you're always in trouble and just overall the vibe was very off. I recommend this job for a person that doesn't like to move much, has the patience to deal with impatient customers, can deal with sudden rushes of customers throughout the day and don't mind working 9+ hours at a time.

I started in the help desk/customer service - there was no structured training. Just seat with someone for a few days and they let you to take the phone & pc to troubleshoot equipment, and resolve customer issues, and you’re expected to meet ticket quotas or get fired. You get written up for being 1 minute late.
Then I moved to “security help desk” which is EXTREMELY STRESSFUL, except at least I was only dealing with fellow employees. But you have to take the on call phone home and it rings all the time- then you’re expected to report to the office at 6am on Saturdays even after not sleeping on Friday from the on call phone. The pay is extremely low for the amount of work. In the office, you respond to emails every second, take calls constantly troubleshooting alarm systems, creating work orders, renewing alarm permits, processing false alarm invoices and process reports - it is extremely busy. But there’s no proper order. Rules change every day and sometimes backtracked on. There’s no work/life balance. There’s favoritisms going on the floor. And there’s no job security.

The workmates are nice though. But there are no prospects of real career growth.

They only care for customers as they need to give them loan un a right to wrong way. Whether customers have their paystub, SS# or ID or not, just give them loan, loan and loan!

Very high turnover here. People are constantly getting fired for not selling their cards. There is a whole pandemic and they STILL expect you to meet card goals. Definitely didn’t feel secure in my job knowing I can be fired any moment over something out of my control. They do offer vacation pay , floating holiday , personal , and sick. And medical dental and vision. Other than that you’re just a number to them and good luck with getting a lunch break. !

I loved my job at Ace call center .. We were paid well and they had great incentives. Holidays we had parties and they closed for the ones that people usually wanna be with family .. if you get a great manager you'll love it

Worked as a help desk/customer service representative for a short while in 2014. You had to help the centers fix their equipment when it broke down (which if you are an ACE customer- you know is all the time) by trouble shooting it over the phone or restarting it remotely. Also, helped with bill pay inquiries or got information over to other departments. It was a very small department up on a high up floor in the Irving Corporate office, there was free food every once in a while but that was the only perk. Basically no benefits, making about $13/hour and fighting everyone else to meet the ticket completion quota. No training other than sitting next to someone else for a week and then getting on your own phone and PC to figure out how to do it on your own after that. Very strict attendance policy unless you had an in with someone to pull strings for you to keep you on when you should have been fired. TLs usually worked the most tickets along with veterans to meet their quotas and maybe bonus, everyone else just struggled to figure it out. Hard to get out of the department without tenure and when you did get a promotion it was just to be off the phones doing something else for the business, on another floor, for a few more $/hour.

Shifts are usually from 7:20 am to 8:10pm the hours have no work life and personal life balance. Good job but pay could be better. Management is good and easy to work for.

I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a future. They have excellent benefits including 401k. Corporate has an open door policy and they reward for a job well done.

You dont get a break. There are not alot of hours. Working at a company with mostly females drama will find its way some how. The district manager has her picks.
